Nathaniel Williams, M.D., is joining the WVU Medicine Orthopedics and ÎÞëÊÓƵ Medicine team at Uniontown Hospital, expanding orthopedic care for the residents of Uniontown and Fayette County. His first day is Sept. 1.

“Dr. Williams joins a highly regarded joint replacement program at Uniontown Hospital, where we are committed to keeping patients close to home for care,” Karyn Wallace, president and CEO of Uniontown Hospital, said. “We are thrilled to have him here.”

Williams specializes in hip and knee surgeries. He joins six fellow physicians in delivering advanced care for bone, joint, muscle, tendon, and sports-related injuries.

Treatments he offers include those for knee and hip pain and arthritis; bursitis; hip dysplasia; prosthetic joint infection and dislocation; total hip and knee replacement and revision; periprosthetic fracture; and upper and lower extremity trauma.

“I strive to treat each patient with an individualized approach,” Williams said. “We work together to understand and set their goals then develop a customized treatment plan.”

He earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the WVU School of Medicine, where he received the Junior Resident of the Year Award and the WVU Medicine Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center Cornerstone of Recovery Award. He most recently completed his fellowship in adult surgical reconstruction at Vanderbilt University.
