Connellsville无毛视频檚 Rockwell records 1st hole-in-one
Braydon Rockwell was out playing a round of golf with his mother, Tawnya Rockwell, on Friday when they were called into the clubhouse at Pleasant Valley Golf Club along Route 982 in Bullskin Township.
The Rockwells had just completed the fourth hole, but inclement weather forced mother and son off the course. The duo was on the fence when it came to bagging the round, but decided to go back out on the course when they were allowed.
Braydon Rockwell, who will be a freshman at Connellsville Area High School this year, teed off on the 175-yard hole on No. 6, and while they watched the shot bounce, the 14-year-old turned to his mother and said, “How cool would it be if it went in the hole?”
The pair laughed it off, but then realized Braydon had recorded his first hole-in-one using a 7-iron.
Rockwell has had an eventful month of August, which began with him placing first in the Junior Open championship while participating against an adult field of golfers in the C. Harper Fayette Open. He topped three seniors in Albert Gallatin’s Tyler Felio, Laurel Highlands’ Ryan Revak and Uniontown’s Elim Martin to earn the title and receive a $200 scholarship.
Connellsville golf coach Brent Rockwell joked that the one time he doesn’t go out with Braydon on the golf course is when he aces a hole. Coach Rockwell hopes Braydon’s strong August translates into September and October, as he will be on the Falcons’ boys team.
The first official day of practice for golfers in the WPIAL began on Monday. Teams can schedule a scrimmage or match on Thursday. The first date for boys section play begins on Aug. 17.
The Fayette Scholastic Golf Open is set for Sept. 18 at Duck Hollow Golf Course.
