Jerry Robert Switch passed away peacefully Sunday, August 30, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

He was born January 22, 1937 to the late Helen and Joseph Switch.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Marge Budia Switch, whom he married June 29, 1963.

In addition, Jerry is survived by his sisters, Patty Volpe, Dolores Ramsey and Yolanda (Larry) Frammartino; sister-in-law, Dolores Switch. Also his in-laws, Audrey (Lloyd) Mullins and Barbara (John) Turner; special nephews and nieces, John, Jerome, Mark, Steven, Michael, Joe and Louis, Clara, Geraldine and Violet.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Gerald Switch; and nephews, Joe Jordan and Joe Ramsey.

Jerry started at General Motors in Euclid, Ohio in 1955 and retired after 31 years in 1986. During that time he developed a love for his UAW Union. He was a shop committeeman from 1967 to 1970, a health and safety representative from 1970 to 1984, and a vice chairman from 1986 to 2008. He was also chairman of Local 1045 from 2008 to 2024 and on the executive board.

He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved his yearly trips to Las Vegas and had a love of polkas. He looked forward to every summer so he could worship the sun.

Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH, JR. FUNERAL HOME Thursday, September 3 from 2 to 8 p.m., and Friday, September 4 from 10 until the 11 a.m. hour of service in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in St Agnes Cemetery, Masontown.
