Charles Thomas Edward Plum
Charles Thomas Edward Plum, 17, of Lake Lynn, died Thursday, August 20, 2026, as the result of a motorcycle accident. Born in Morgantown, W.Va. on February 17, 2009, a son of Thomas Plum and Tara Varano, he was raised in the Point Marion area by his loving grandparents, Mary and Edward Plum of Lake Lynn.
Chuckie was a senior at Albert Gallatin High School, and also attended the Fayette County Career and Technical Institute, where he excelled in carpentry in his sophomore year, and in diesel mechanics his junior year.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and grandparents, are brothers, Kolby Varano and Thomas Plum, both of Lake Lynn; sisters: Morgan Plum of Point Marion, Sylvia, Sofia, Sarah and Abalene Plum, all of Lake Lynn; four cousins: Emily, Abigail, Kenzie and Jaxton Plum; a nephew, Winston Richter; three aunts: Melanie, Kimberly and Ashley Plum; his girlfriend, Cloey Smitley; a number of beloved teachers who thought of him as their own; and many friends.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and again Friday from 10 until the 11 a.m. hour of service, with Pastor Jason Lamer officiating. Interment follows in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva.
