Dora H. Mankins, 100, of Lake Lynn, passed away peacefully Thursday, August 20, 2026, in her home, with her loving family by her side. Born in Cleveland, Ohio February 23, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Iva Kling McKimmy.
She was a faithful member for many years of Redeemed Baptist Church in Point Marion, where she had served as church organist, Sunday school teacher and assisted with the Release Time organization for school children. She was also pianist in several local churches over the years as well.
Dora had formerly worked for Houze Glass in the payroll department and also Warsinsky Decorators in Morgantown.
Surviving are four loving children and their spouses, Sandy Jenkins (the Rev. French), Nancy Linn (Herb), Linda Bise (Tony) and Jack “Buck” Mankins (Julie), all of Lake Lynn; plus 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Albert “Jack” Mankins, passed away January 31, 1980. Also deceased is her sister, Vivian Webster and brothers, Donald and Roy McKimmy.
The family will receive friends in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Sunday, August 23, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and again Monday, August 24, in Redeemed Baptist Church, Fallen Timbers Road, Point Marion, from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. hour of service, with her son-in-law, the Rev. French Jenkins, officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery in Smithfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Redeemed Baptist Church, 156 Fallen Timbers Road, Point Marion, PA 15474.
