Clara Louise Yarborough, 97, passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, July 26, 2026, with her devoted son, Carl, by her side.
Clara was born September 17, 1928, in Greenville, Ala., to the late John Smith and Martha Jones Smith.
In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husbands: John T. Price and the Rev. Odell Yarborough; sister, Alice Harris; and children, Mac Arthur Price, Ronald Lee Price, and Anna Austin.
Clara started her career as a business owner of Yarborough’s Fish Market with her late husband, Odell. She was pastor of Community Baptist Church of Allison #1 for 42 years, and was a devoted Christian, who lived her life following her Lord and Savior and brought many souls to Jesus.
Clara is survived by her son, Carl Anthony Price of Allison; son-in- law, Bruce Austin of Bismarck of North Dakota; her daughters-in law, Rachael Price of Allison, and Wendy Price of Uniontown; grandchildren: Ronald Lee (Tikey) Price II of Columbia, S.C.; Preston (Carissa) Hill of Uniontown; Dustin (Emily) Price of Brentwood; Sean (Amber) Austin of Las Vegas, Nev.; Johnathan (Taylor) Price of Connellsville; Rebecca (Desmond) Price of Pittsburgh; her great- grandsons, Preston, London, Legend, and Arturo; great-granddaughters, December, Pixie, Lynix, Eleanora, and Lovelynn; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends will be received in the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 297 E. Main Street, Uniontown, Monday, August 10, from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at LaFayette Memorial Park in Brier Hill.
