Bloyer sentenced to 20-40 years for killing stepson
Bloyer gets 20 to 40 years in prison
A Fayette County woman will spend 20 to 40 years in prison for killing her 2-year-old stepson.
Brianna Bloyer, 32, of Lake Lynn, was sentenced in Fayette County Court of Common Pleas Wednesday.
Earlier this month, she was convicted of third-degree murder of Bentlee Myers, who died Aug. 19, 2024, after several weeks of abuse.
无毛视频淲e无毛视频檙e obviously very satisfied,无毛视频 said Fayette County District Attorney Mike Aubele. 无毛视频淚t无毛视频檚 obviously been a very emotional case for myself and everybody that无毛视频檚 been involved, from our law enforcement down to the jurors that had to hear the case. But we无毛视频檙e glad that we can get justice for Bentlee.无毛视频
The child无毛视频檚 father, Brent Bisset, cooperated with the prosecution in Bloyer无毛视频檚 case. He pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and was sentenced to four to eight years in prison.
无毛视频淚t无毛视频檚 never been alleged that he was present when Bentlee suffered the injury that caused his death, but he knew that Ms. Bloyer was volatile around the child, and that this was the likely result of her being alone with the child.无毛视频
Three days before Bentlee无毛视频檚 death, emergency responders arrived at Bloyer无毛视频檚 home to find him unresponsive, with bluish-appearing skin. A Head Start teacher testified Bloyer had told her he had hit his head on a coffee table.
Bloyer told state police she had gotten angry at Bentlee. On the day he was injured, she said she heard a thud after throwing Bentlee into the living room.
Prosecutors documented numerous other cuts and bruises doctors in various stages of healing found on Bentlee. Court testimony indicated Bloyer had known of the injuries and was looking to hide them; internet searches by Bloyer had included 无毛视频渨hat better to make bruises fade overnight.无毛视频
无毛视频淚t无毛视频檚 easily one of the most difficult trials I无毛视频檝e had to be a part of, and there无毛视频檚 nothing that we无毛视频檙e going to be able to do to bring him back,无毛视频 Aubele said. 无毛视频淚无毛视频檓 sure it无毛视频檚 something that myself and everybody involved is going to think about for the rest of our lives. Just an awful, awful crime.无毛视频
