Mifflin County teacher named Pennsylvania无毛视频檚 Teacher of Year

After a months-long process that included essays, video submissions and interviews, the state Department of Education announced a Mifflin County teacher as its 2024 Teacher of the Year.
The recognition went to Ashlie Crosson, a 10th-grade English, AP Language and journalism teacher at Mifflin County High School in Lewistown, announced Dr. Khalid N. Mumin, secretary of education, during the DOE无毛视频檚 annual professional development conference Monday.
无毛视频淎t the Pennsylvania Department of Education, we celebrate all of our teachers across the Commonwealth, but the Teacher of the Year is a special designation highlighting the best and brightest practitioners in the field,无毛视频� Mumin said in a news release. 无毛视频淎shlie Crosson is a leader and a role model in her school district, championing practices and resources that will lead her students to infinite possibilities of success, and today we congratulate her on her dedication to her classroom and community.无毛视频�
Crosson was one of 12 finalists and competed against a field of talented educators, including Brittney Bell, a 2023 Crystal Apple award-winner who serves as a fourth-grade language arts teacher at Carmichaels Area School District, and Justin Ward, a life skills teacher at Laurel Highlands School District.
Each year, one educator from throughout the commonwealth is named Teacher of the Year for their innovative and impactful approach to not only educating, but inspiring and shaping the next generation of Americans. The program is cosponsored by the state DOE and the Pennsylvania chapter of the National State Teacher of the Year.
