Catholic War Veterans Building for sale
The Catholic War Veterans Post 1669 is parting with a piece of history as the 98-year-old Uniontown landmark that has been home to several organizations for nearly a century is up for sale.
Ted Muzika, post treasurer and member since 1975, said the two-story, red brick structure, was built in 1917 with the date etched on a keystone at the top with name, 无毛视频淰ictoria Building.无毛视频�
The 6,880 square-foot property, located at 157 Main Street, is listed with SWC Properties in Uniontown at $400,000.
It is situated on two acres and offers abundant parking.
The building无毛视频檚 first floor is equipped with a bar area, full kitchen, banquet hall, hardwood floors and walk-in cooler with a social hall, office and apartment on the second floor.
无毛视频淏ecause it is close to the (Fayette County) prison and the courthouse, it could be viable property,无毛视频� said Muzika.无毛视频�
According to Muzika, the post purchased the building in 1983 from the Carpatho Russian Club that used it in the 1940s and 50s for hosting wedding celebrations in the basement.
Additions include a 50 year-roof was put on the building about 15 years ago and expanding the bar area.
Muzika said local organizations such as the Loyal Order of the Moose, letter carriers and prison guards also meet regularly in the building.
The post decided to sell the current building and bought a one-story property in Hopwood last year because it was more conducive to membership, Muzika said.

Post members include veterans from the World War II, Vietnam, Korean, Gulf and other wars with Jack Flowers as trustee and Mike Miskanin, club steward.
Muzika said he believes there once was a street car stop directly in front of the building when Uniontown was bustling.
