Fast break: Lady Gators sprint to 63-21 victory over Carmichaels
JEFFERSON 无毛视频� The Geibel Catholic girls controlled the opening tip, the first quarter and the entire game Saturday morning for a 63-21 victory against Carmichaels in the second day of the Donna M. Furnier Invitational Tournament hosted by Jefferson-Morgan.
The Lady Gators无毛视频� fast start was fueled by layups created by fullcourt pressure defense, leading to a 33-4 lead after the first quarter.
Emma Larkin scored 11 of her game-high 26 points in the first eight minutes. Ava Henderson added nine points on baskets off the transition and Mallory Clemmer contributed six points in the paint.
Clemmer finished with 10 points and Janiah Darnell added eight.
Carmichaels opened the game in a box-and-1 against Emma Larkin, but was forced to call off the defense with the points spread around the Geibel lineup.

Sara Larkin called off the pressure defense in the second quarter and the move seemed to slow the Lady Gators down as the Lady Mikes clawed back for an 11-10 deficit in the quarter and a 44-14 halftime score.

The second half was played under a running clock with the mercy rule invoked. The Lady Gators (2-0) held an 18-11 advantage in the final 16 minutes.

Ali Jacobs hit double figures for the Lady Mikes (0-2) with 11 points. Duski Staggers (6) and Ke无毛视频橪ani Chun (4) accounted for the remainder of the offense.

West Greene (2-0) led 20-4, 30-6 and 42-12 at the quarter breaks.
Kendra Tharp paced West Greene with 12 points. Marissa Tharp and Madelyn Roberts both scored 11 points.
Jefferson-Morgan slips to 0-2 after the opening weekend of the season.
