Striped skunk sisters arrive at National Aviary
The National Aviary is welcoming two new furry animal ambassadors to its collection of 500 birds and mammals -: striped skunk sisters.
Born at the Cincinnati Zoo in April, the mammals will help shed light on habitat biodiversity. The public is being invited to help name them..Through Sept. 14 at noon, name suggestions can be submitted through a Google link provided by the National Aviary.
After all name suggestions are reviewed by the National Aviary’s animal care team, six names (three sets of two) will be selected, and the National Aviary will host a paid voting period starting Sept. 15 to determine the skunks’ official monikers, which will be announced by early October. It will be $5 for five votes, and participants can vote as many times as they want.
