Pittsburgh poets headline VOICES at Pitt Greensburg
VOICES, Pitt-Greensburg无毛视频檚 reading series celebrating the beauty and diversity of America无毛视频檚 literary landscape, will bring together authors Adriana E. Ramirez and Scott Silsbe, along with Pitt-Greensburg student writers on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. on the campus无毛视频� Fireside Lounge in Chambers Hall.
The reading, part of a three-day in-person celebration of storytelling, is free and open to the public. Books by the visiting authors will be available for sale and signing.
Silsbe is the author of four books of poetry: 无毛视频淯nattended Fire,无毛视频� 无毛视频淭he River Underneath the City,无毛视频� 无毛视频淢uskrat Friday Dinner,无毛视频� and 无毛视频淢eet Me Where We Survive.无毛视频� His poems and prose have appeared in many magazines and other publications. Born in Detroit, Silsbe now lives in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania.
Ramirez is a Mexican-Colombian writer, critic, and performance poet based in Pittsburgh. She won the inaugural PEN/Fusion Emerging Writers Prize in 2015 for her novella-length work of nonfiction, 无毛视频淒ead Boys无毛视频� (Little A, 2016). Her reviews, essays, and poems have also appeared in 无毛视频淭he Atlantic,无毛视频� 无毛视频淭he Los Angeles Times,无毛视频� 无毛视频淭he Boston Globe,无毛视频� 无毛视频淭he Pittsburgh Post-Gazette,无毛视频� ESPN无毛视频檚 无毛视频淭he Undefeated,无毛视频� 无毛视频淟os Angeles Review of Books,无毛视频� 无毛视频淕uernica/PEN America,无毛视频� and 无毛视频淟iterary Hub,无毛视频� among others.
The reading is one of three events celebrating storytelling that week.
无毛视频淲ild Gratitude,无毛视频� the Pitt-Greensburg无毛视频檚 Fall 2022 Storytellers Showcase, will bring together visiting writers, students, faculty, and alumni authors for readings, performances, and book launch celebrations. All events begin at 7 p.m. in the Fireside Lounge and are free and open to the public.

n Thursday, Dec. 1: Book Launch Celebration for authors Adam Matcho (无毛视频淐ash for Gold无毛视频�) and Celeste Gainey (无毛视频溛廾悠郸while we were waiting to become part of our century无毛视频�), with opening readings by Pitt-Greensburg students Misha Laity and Caitlin Cruser. Copies of authors无毛视频� limited-edition books, created by the Pitt-Greensburg Literary and Online Publishing class, will be available for sale ($8) and author signings.
