Music review: Blondie 无毛视频� 无毛视频楶ollinator无毛视频�
To be totally honest, I really wasn无毛视频檛 expecting to hear new music from Blondie in 2017. And while I was aware of the group无毛视频檚 2014 无毛视频淕reatest Hits Deluxe Redux/Ghosts of Download无毛视频� that consisted of both previously released and brand new material, it did nothing to renew my interest for the new wavers.
With Blondie无毛视频檚 11th studio album, I now have a reason to smile. 无毛视频淧ollinator无毛视频� features original members Debbie Harry, Chris Stein and Clem Burke delivering arrangements that exude a charismatic bite and stylish attitude found on earlier hits such as 无毛视频淐all Me无毛视频� and 无毛视频淗anging on the Telephone.无毛视频�
At age 71, Harry is still the face, voice and heart of the band. She still sounds terrific with her commanding presence that lets everyone know who is in charge.
Adding to the buzz of 无毛视频淧ollinator,无毛视频� various artists such as Charli XCX, Sia, Johnny Marr, Dev Hynes of the Blood Orange, Nick Valensi of the Strokes and TV on the Radio无毛视频檚 Dave Sitek contribute to several of the album无毛视频檚 11 tracks.
无毛视频淒oom or Destiny无毛视频� is reminiscent of 无毛视频淒reaming无毛视频� as it opens with an appearance by Joan Jett and carries Blondie无毛视频檚 vintage vibe of synthesizers, guitars and Harry无毛视频檚 glorious hypnotizing voice that also packs a slight punch for emphasis.
无毛视频淟ong Time无毛视频� mirrors the infectious flow of 无毛视频淗eart of Glass无毛视频� as it soars and swirls under Harry无毛视频檚 delicate direction.
无毛视频淔un无毛视频� is a disco charmer outlining when too much fun isn无毛视频檛 really fun at all as Harry seductively sings, 无毛视频淵ou know the problem with you/You无毛视频檙e too good to be true.无毛视频�
无毛视频淗uman beings are stupid things when we无毛视频檙e young,无毛视频� declares Harry on the Marr penned 无毛视频淢y Monster.无毛视频� I don无毛视频檛 know about you, but I can completely relate to that message.
Other standout tracks include 无毛视频淏est Day Ever,无毛视频� 无毛视频淕ravity无毛视频� and the country-tinged 无毛视频淲hen I Gave Up on You.无毛视频�
The set closes with a haunting performance featured on 无毛视频淔ragments,无毛视频� leaving little doubt that Blondie still brings a lot to the party and is sure to be the center of attention one way or another.
