Music review: The Dead Daisies – 无毛视频楳ake Some Noise无毛视频�
I recently had a spirited discussion about music with fellow classic rock enthusiast Tim Mitchell of Hopwood. After trading stories about the shows we attended and the variety of bands we had seen over the years, I began to search for newer bands that possessed a vintage sound delivered by groups like Deep Purple, Foghat, AC/DC and Bad Company.
I soon discovered a new release by a collection of talented rock artists from various bands that reminded me of concerts I attended in the 1970s.
The Dead Daisies made it loud to be played loud with the rousing 无毛视频淢ake Some Noise.无毛视频� Consisting of singer John Corabi (Motley Crue and Angora), bassist Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy), drummer Brian Tichy (Ozzy Osbourne and Foreigner), and guitarist David Lowy (Mink) and Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake and Dio), the individual members bring plenty of firepower to the band无毛视频檚 third album that relentlessly launches one stadium anthem after another.
The first single, 无毛视频淟ong Way to Go,无毛视频� opens the festivities with a wall of guitars leading the way for Corabi无毛视频檚 muscular vocals as he announces, 无毛视频淭here无毛视频檚 something going down on the streets right now.无毛视频�
无毛视频淲e All Fall Down无毛视频� offers the gritty guitar gusto of songs found on early Aerosmith albums like 无毛视频淩ocks无毛视频� and 无毛视频淒raw the Line.无毛视频�
无毛视频淢ake some noise/Make it louder/Make some noise/Everybody now,无毛视频� demands Corabi on the pounding title track that instantly encourages audience participation.
While 无毛视频淪ong and a Prayer无毛视频� is a melodic rocker that is perfect for radio, 无毛视频淢ainline无毛视频� burns right out the gate with a blistering fury reminiscent of vintage Scorpions, Guns N无毛视频� Roses and Ted Nugent.
Produced by Marti Frederiksen, who previously worked with Motley Crue, Aerosmith and Def Leppard, much of the material comes off as classic Aerosmith on steroids.
Two searing cover tracks are also featured on the new release. The Who无毛视频檚 无毛视频淛oin Together无毛视频� and Creedence Clearwater Revival无毛视频檚 无毛视频淔ortunate Son无毛视频� are given a rock 无毛视频榥无毛视频� roll makeover that sounds better than ever.
The Dead Daisies will be opening for Kiss when the two bands hit Erie Insurance Arena on Aug. 27. It would be worth the short trip to Erie to experience this electrifying show in person. Something tells me that my fellow rock music aficionado may already be working on the details. Rock on.
