Connellsville man accused of breaking into grandmother无毛视频檚 home jailed without bond

A Connellsville man accused of kicking in his grandmother’s door and trying to steal her purse last week was denied bail.
District Judge Ronald Haggerty denied bail for Chase Powell, 27, during his Wednesday preliminary hearing, citing the man was “a threat to society.”
According to Connellsville Police, Powell went to visit his grandmother around 4 p.m. on Oct. 3 and unsuccessfully attempted to steal $110 from her purse. After the woman caught her grandson trying to steal from her purse, she told him to leave, court documents state.
Later that night, around 11 p.m., police said Powell returned to his grandmother’s home and tried to gain access into the apartment by claiming he was bleeding. When the woman told Powell to leave, he kicked in the door, smashed his grandmother’s phone and tried to grab her purse, the complaint reads.
Police said a neighbor came to the apartment with a gun, prompting Powell to flee without the purse.
Powell was charged with felony burglary and felony criminal trespassing and several misdemeanor charges including theft, criminal mischief and loitering. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for later this month.
